Eight years ago, a GI 'specialist' recommended this drug, Nexium, a heartburn drug, for my son's stomach ailment. I chose a natural alternative, successfully. Now, this drug has been linked to sudden kidney inflammation (nephritis) and a 96% increase in chronic kidney disease. Both of these side effects can cause kidney failure.
